Liao Jun Hao currently works at Ubisoft Shanghai as an Art Director who's responsible for art direction, visual design, IP creation and quality control. He has over 20 years' experience in creating games for the Xbox one, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Xbox, PS2, Nintendo 64, PS, and PC in the art field. He has previously worked for Tose, Konami and Epic Games China , during which he developed many games such as Far Cry Primal, Far Cry 4, Far Cry 3, I Am Alive, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Tom Clancy's EndWar, Gears of War 2, Unreal Tournament 3, Tom Clancy’s SplinterCell - Double Agent, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy’s SplinterCell - Pandora Tomorrow, Tom Clancy’s SplinterCell, World Soccer 2002 J-League, World Soccer 2002, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball, GUNBALLINA , Bioharzd Zero, Chocobo Stallion, etc...

Liao Jun Hao gave speeches, called "The Making Of Shaman Visions For Far Cry Primal", "Dust, Danger & Despair – Shaping the end of the world", "Design and Production Pipelines in Next-Gen Game Environment" and "Art conception and production pipeline on a hand-held included full platform title" on consecutive CGDC events and have been widely praised.

This talk will reveal the creation behind Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness of Ubisoft Shanghai from concept phase to the production.

It will include 3 main pillars of the game foundation : the world, characters and signs of War. The world creation and unique artistic direction will be highlighted during the presentation.

Also, Liao will talk about the new trend of graphic techs and share some key principles of AAA art development in Ubisoft.
